Helping commuters finish their light reading since 1940

Things I did while sitting in traffic on the Turnpike yesterday morning:

  • wrote some checks, paid some bills

  • cleared out old photos on my camera phone

  • read two chapters of Eisner/Miller

  • flirted with Black Lexus, Gray Volvo, and Green Mini Cooper

  • listend to The Who's Live at the Isle of Wright in it's entirety

  • vowed to find a new job. Really. I mean it.*

  • Blogging has been light lately for a few reasons. My home computer won't connect to the internet despite a Good signal from the wireless network. After many futile attempts to reverse this problem over the weekend, I grew very irritable and decided to avoid all computers in my house all together for several days. I sit in front of one all day at work, so the change should do me some good. The biggest inconvenience was not being able to sell on eBay.

Meanwhile, at work, I had become unusually busy, so freetime to post became rare (especially without distractions). As such, I haven't been able to update my Sequential Art of the Week for sometime now (for those keeping score, last week would have been Zatanna #2...still deciding this week's)

It's starting to get pretty loud here again. I'll be busy in a few minutes, no doubt.

*well...after 4th of July holiday, anyway...

I tried books on tape (yes, "tape") when I was in middle school...or whenever. Around the time Michael Crichton's Airframe had been released. I listened to the whole book on a trip, yet I can't seem to remember a damn thing about it...it's all a muddled mess of people talking about airplane parts. Yet I somehowe recall intimate details of both Sphere and Jurassic Park.

So yeah, I don't think audiobooks are the way for me. I'm pretty sure I absorb more from actually reading. I am working on putting all of my stand-up albums on an MP3 cd, though...Izzard, Carlin, Hedberg, Attell...they will definately make the commute less painful.
