Throw Away Your Bootlegs!!
I'm not sure which I'm more excited about: this or that.
Man, if I wasn't playing Nintendo all those weekends at my dad's house, I was watching these shows, instead. I remember getting the idea of starting a rubber band ball because Ferguson started one (mine never got as large as his, though...I couldn't go larger than a grapefruit). And as for the Petes....well, I'm still an honorary member of The Nightcrawler Society.
God, I hope these sell well enough to prompt them to release my all-time favorite Nick show - Salute Your Shorts! Who reading this DOESN'T remember that theme song?? No clue? Maybe you were too busy outside playing baseball...
I wouldn't frown upon a release of Welcome Freshman, either. I never actually got to watch that as a freshman...
Did you know...that Stepehen Merritt, of The Magnetic Fields, did some music for The Adventures of Pete & Pete? It's true. Where do you think he got the inspiration for "Infinitely Late at Night"?

Megan would like to know when salute your shorts is going to be released. I personally couldnt be any more excited for clarissa and pete and pete. Although I would be willing to shell out some cash for an alex mack collection.
Question - if you had a crush on someone when you were 10 is it alright to still have a crush on them now if the character would now be as old as you are?
also where did you get the merritt info? its not listed on his imdb.
Oh damn...I can add Alex Mack to the growing list of old-school Nick DVD's I would buy if released.
Go back a few years and watch "10 Things I Hate About You", Pops. She was in that and very much cuter than Julia Stiles. So crush away!
They haven't announced anything past these two series so far. I'd imagine they are going to watch the sales of these before they proceed with announcing any other releases (they don't want to be stuck with several warehouses full of Hey Dude! or Roundhouse).
And tell Megan to post her own damn questions next time!
Also, check out this listing on Amazon...one of the reviews mentions many of the artists that either guested or contributed to the show. And yes, that's a link to a Pete & Pete soundtrack I never knew existed.
Also, I completely bullshitted that part about Merritt being inspired by the Nightcrawler Society to write "Infinitely Late at Night", before someone tries to call me on that. It was funny to me at the time...

ok first off, i totally screwed up on that post and deleted it. i didnt know blogger was gonna be a fuckbutt about it and say "floyd's an asshole and deleted his post - beat him with sticks!" (i'm paraphrasing obviously). so tweek, dont, ya know, tweek about it.
anyway, what i was going to say was dont front on hey dude! - that's where i developed my crush on christine taylor (pre-ben stiller). not that there's anything wrong with post-ben stiller christine taylor. yeah, well... yeah. i'm done now.
trivia for the pennsylvania boys: christine taylor was born in allentown! :) oh so close! well, she was too old for us back then i guess. but as a young boy... she was definitely the cowgirl i wanted my parents to bring in to babysit me.
i'm revealing too much, aren't i?
sorry.
Wow, Floyd, I actually had no idea Christine Taylor was on Hey Dude, OR that she was from around here!! Your obsession runs deep.
My Nick Crush (aside from Alex Mack) was the hippie chick on Salute Your Shorts.
And Staci, I remember seeing a few eps of Are You Afraid Of The Dark, I just never got into it. Even with Ren & Stimpy as a lead-in...
